A few reminders ...

  • The last half hour of the day can be the busiest time for the office. If you are going to be late to pick up your student, please call the office before 3:45 pm and let us know. We can then send an "end of the day message" to them to let them know. Please do not leave a message after 3:45 pm and just keep calling until you get a hold of someone.
  • Please make sure that you call the attendance line 303-387-5502, when your student will be absent. If you do not call, it will be marked as unexcused and 4 unexcused absences means your student is truant.
  • If you need to speak to a teacher before or after school, please make an appointment with them. They are often in meetings or preparing for the school day in the mornings.
  • Students that are having breakfast in the morning will get their breakfast after the first bell at 9:05 am. There is to be no students in the school or on the playground as there is no supervision for them.
  • It is Sedalia Elementary' s policy that everyone stop by the front desk upon entering the building. You must sign in and where a "VISITOR" sticker if you would like to continue into the school. This is for student and staff safety. If you need to pick up your student early, the office will call your student up front. We ask that you do not got to their classrooms and get them.
  • In the event of a lighting delay, we will not release the students outside until the threat of lighting is gone. Students will return to their classroom until all is clear. Parents will need to come to the office and sign out their student and we will call down to the classroom for dismissal of that student.
  • Students should not be in the gym, on the playground, or on the green field unsupervised prior to the bell ringing in the morning. If you see this, please direct students to a supervised area.
