Hi, my name is Theresa Costigan and I am so excited to be working with you student! I grew up in Chicago, IL and I am the youngest of 4 children. I got my bachelors degree in elementary education from the University of Missouri in Columbia. I have always wanted to be a mountain girl so I am so excited to be living in Denver! Besides teaching, I love to spend time outside, listen to podcasts, and enjoy a cup of coffee!

I am thrilled to work with you and your student this year! This is my second year teaching at Sedalia, but my 6th year as an elementary teacher. I received my Post-Baccalaureate Teaching License from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2017. I was raised in North Carolina and I moved to Colorado from Chicago where I graduated with a B.F.A. in acting from DePaul University. Currently, I live in Morrison with my husband Jake and our five year old son, Jack. Other than teaching, some of my favorite things to do are performing in plays, running long distances (my first marathon is  in October–woot!), and reading.
